Club Run to Panorama Motorcycle Museum

Date of Run: Sunday, 15 April 2018

Meet at Cameron Park, Ipswich (95A Brisbane Road, Booval) at 9 am. Depart at 9.15 am for Panorama Motorcycle Museum (3 Panorama Drive, Roadvale). Arrival at about 10 am. Entry fee is $10 per person (note this has to be cash - no eftpos or card payment facilities available). If we get at least 12 people to the museum, complimentary morning tea of tea, coffee and scones will be provided. 

Started by Ron Jurgensen and overseen by Rod and Jenny Beasley and their sons Brendan and Jason, Panorama Motorcycles & Memorabilia at Roadvale, features Harley Davidsons, Indians, Douglas, Royal Enfield and BSA Motorcycles. The oldest complete bike is a 1924 Douglas, but are still working on an Indian which goes back to 1914. There is a 1920 Model-T Ford and two 1920’s Whippets, 34 stationary engines, including one that used to power the old Boonah Picture Theatre and the collection also includes old jewellery and cameras and household equipment such as butter churns and washboards. 

Brenden will attempt to have an Indian motorcycle running for us.

We will then continue to Lake Moogerah Dam for a BYO picnic lunch. There are picnic tables, BBQs and walking tracks.

Afterwards, you may wish to look further around the lake area or go back into  Boonah. Everyone to make their own way home.
