If you wish, for those not making their own way to Gympie, depart your location to reach Beerwah by 9.30 -10.00am. Meet Ken, Des and Kev, Paula at the Coffee Club in the local shopping centre.

Arrive Gympie around mid-day - BYO lunch & check into the Great Eastern Motor Inn [most rooms should be available around midday]

Our Motel hosts Michael and Terry have booked us all ground floor units with undercover parking.
Saturday Afternoon 1.45PM
Leave the motor inn heading North on the Bruce Highway for a 2pm cup of tea, coffee get together at the Gympie Historic Auto Club, club room which is on the corner of Hyne and Rose St Gympie.

Return to the Motor Inn at your leisure.
Saturday Evening Dinner 6.30PM.
We celebrate our Clubs 40th Birthday inhouse at the Great Eastern Motor Inn Restaurant GEORDIE'S.
Cost will be $40 per head for 2 course meal including a complimentary Juice, House Wine or beer.
NOTE Special Dietary needs can be catered for- ADVANCE notice ESSENTIAL.
Sunday 18th July 8.20AM
Assemble at Great Eastern Motel for 8.30AM SHARP drive to the Rattler Steam Train Station.
Glenn Todd has arranged for some parking spaces to be cordoned off and made available to us up until 8.45 AM.
Best we are gathered at the STATION at 9 AM for a 10 AM departure. –
Address: Old Gympie Station, Tozer Street, Gympie
The Rattler Departs Old Gympie Station at 10 AM, it takes 1 hour to get to Amamoor Station, after passing through Dagun Station.
Departs Amamoor at 11.40 AM and stops at Dagun Station on the return journey for 40 Minutes.
Dagun residents have a market day, wine tasting, food, produce, arts and craft associated with the train stop. Local musicians perform for Rattler passengers.
Train returns to Old Gympie Station a little past 1 PM.
Take away food is available at the Station for BYO Lunch.
Sunday Lunch BYO
We drive from the station to Nelson Reserve [on the right next to the Bruce Hwy entry via River Rd] BYO Lunch for relaxing 'chew n chat'.
After lunch optional tour of Gympie City using yourself drive City Maps as supplied, returning to the motel at your leisure. [or head off home for those not staying Sunday night]

Gourmet Pizza's inhouse from our Motel GEORDIE'S Restaurant, order as required.
Monday 19th July
Check out of Great Eastern Motor Inn and prepare for
9 AM departure to Boreen Point via picturesque Cedar Pocket Rd, Cedar Pocket Gap Rd, Wahpunga Lane, Dr Pages Rd, Lake Flat Rd. [45-50 min approx 52k's]
Morning tea at the Apollonian Hotel 19 Laguna St Boreen Point. https://www.theapollonianhotel.com/
Order Coffee & Cake, Cuppa or a Beer. We have been given permission to park our vehicles on the lawn in front of the Hotel as a club display.
This will be our weekend departure point from where club members depart for home via Pomona when ready.
