Austins Over Australia 2026 – Maryborough Welcomes You!
The Austin Motor Vehicle Club of Queensland Inc (AMVCQ) is proud to host the 2026 Austins Over Australia (AOA) National Event in the historic city of Maryborough, Queensland, from Wednesday 10 June to Monday 15 June 2026.
This much-anticipated bi-annual gathering promises five memorable days of camaraderie, classic Austins, relaxed country driving, and genuine Queensland hospitality — all set against the rich heritage of the Fraser Coast region.
Strong Early Interest – Don’t Miss Out
Interest in AOA 2026 has been outstanding, with over 60 vehicles already registered from across Australia. Even more impressive is the variety of Austins attending — including the oldest Austin registered to date, a 1926 model, which will be celebrating its centenary year at the event.
With numbers continuing to grow, Maryborough is shaping up to be a spectacular showcase of Austin motoring history, from vintage to more modern classics.
A Relaxed and Affordable National Event
As the organising club, AMVCQ has worked hard to keep the event affordable and enjoyable, while still delivering a full AOA experience. The fees includes:
• Entry for your vehicle
• The Welcome Meet & Greet with catering
• The Display Day
• The Closing Dinner
Other meals are left to individual choice, giving participants the freedom to dine with friends and support local cafés, hotels, and restaurants throughout Maryborough, Hervey Bay, and the wider Fraser Coast area.
Event Highlights
Participants can look forward to:
• Wednesday 10 June – Registration and Meet & Greet at the Tinana Football Club
• Thursday 11 June – A free day to explore Maryborough’s famous street markets, port precinct, and heritage attractions
• Friday 12 June – Run to Hervey Bay
• Saturday 13 June – Run to Tin Can Bay (easy driving, no mountain ranges)
• Sunday 14 June – Display Day at the Brolga Theatre precinct, Rocker Cover Races, and the Closing Dinner at Maryborough Town Hall
• Monday 15 June – Farewells and onward travel (or stay a little longer!)

The event has received tremendous support from the Fraser Coast Regional Council, along with local organisations and sponsors. This backing reflects the region’s enthusiasm for welcoming Austin owners and showcasing Maryborough as a premier destination for historic motoring events.
Accommodation – Book Early
Maryborough and nearby Hervey Bay are popular tourist destinations, particularly during Queensland’s winter peak season. Participants are strongly encouraged to book accommodation early, with a wide range of options available in both locations — Hervey Bay is only a 30-minute drive from Maryborough.
