Club Run to Canungra
Sunday, 27 October 2019 -The club run to Canungra went well. Cameron Park was a popular meeting spot on Sunday morning as the Ipswich Car Club was there early, ready for their run to Pittsworth.
Eight cars From the Austin Club also met up at Cameron Park and headed off to Canungra through the new developments of Springfield and Springfield Lakes to the park at Jimbooba. We enjoyed morning tea with Irene and Don Carlill and Margaret and Merv Thompson joined us as well. The drive to Canungra through Mundoolan showed just how dry the country is on the southern outskirts. We found our designated lunch stop at Café Metz in the main street of Canungra. Amazingly fast serivice from a very pleasant café owner. Nothing was too much trouble with water bowls for our two canine mates as well. Andrew had time to ferret around in the Op shop purchasing a very 80’s shirt for his evening engagement.
